Working with the Active At Home Senior Services team has been a tremendous blessing to our mom! The dedicated individuals who care for our mom - Jennifer and Samantha - have developed personal relationships with our mom that enable them to address her emotional needs with care and compassion. They go above and beyond to assist our mom with everyday activities including walking, shopping, running errands, cooking, and they ensure that she is taking her medications and keeping up with her health. Jennifer and Samantha are incredibly communicative, flexible, patient, and caring human beings, and we are just so fortunate that they came into our mom's life! Since we no longer live near our mom, it provides us with tremendous peace of mind to know that she is in such good hands with the Active At Home Senior Services team.  

I saw vast improvement in my 89-year-old father's physical and mental well-being as he worked with Active At Home Senior Services. My dad got stronger and steadier on his feet. He always enjoys interacting with the skilled caregivers Active At Home brought to our home. I was grateful for their professionalism and flexible scheduling. I wholeheartedly recommend Active At Home to anyone who needs help caring for an elderly loved one. 

What impresses me the most from Active At Home is their communication and organization skills with people my age who have not been able to stay up to date with technology. These caregivers simplify things for me which makes my life so much easier. After my husband passed, I was so worried that I wouldn’t make it through and then two beautiful girls showed up. I love the conversations, walks and puzzle time. For the last 3 years I have been alone in my house, and it is so nice to have someone there just for me. I may have lost my husband, but I gained two beautiful people and for that I am grateful. 

When Dad started falling, I was worried and scared.  When I realized he needed companion care I was uncertain about having strangers in my house.  We interviewed several agencies and chose Active at Home after meeting with Jen.  I loved that the agency is owned by a geriatric physical therapist and that they offer a variety of services including technology assistance for seniors (which has been a big issue for my dad).  Then we started meeting the caregivers and our family fell in love!  The caregivers are professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and fun.  On some days that I am in the house while they are here, I can hear my Dad laughing all the way upstairs.  His mobility, balance, and mood have improved dramatically, and he looks forward to his time with the caregivers each day.  After only a couple of weeks, the caregivers feel like an extension of my family.  I recommend Active at Home without reservation.  Thank you to all of your staff for bringing so much peace of mind and joy into our lives. 

Jen and Brian have been extraordinarily helpful to me. They have provided in home physical therapy tailored specifically to my mom's needs in her own environment. Jen is very tuned in to what my mom needed to maximize her functional capacity. Having PT at home is so much more convenient that putting my mom thru the hassles of getting in the car and going to a clinic. Brian has scheduled companion care for me regularly. It is so helpful to have someone come sit with my mom while I take a few hours to do things. Would highly recommend their services.  

This company is a life saver for my 90 year old mother and us as caregivers. A hospitalization made it clear that she needed companionship and a driver for medical appointments, as well as vital help around the house with all those things a 90 year old can feel too tired or unable to do. Active at Home stepped up to the plate right after she got home from the hospital and now we cannot imagine life without them! They accompany her to every medical appointment and so we know that she is in good hands. If ever anything unusual crops up, Active at Home informs family immediately and problem solves. They are always reliable. My mother has now added their OT/PT services as well and appreciates the tailor made therapy. Once you add Active at Home to your life, you won't be able to imagine how you managed without them, especially if you are a long distance caregiver to a senior!

Jen and her team of professionals are a god send to us!  We have been working with them for more than a year to help support our aging parent.  They have provided companion care, transportation, PT and OT services in our home, in her home and at her assisted living facility to help keep her as healthy and independent as possible.   Jen and her team of companions are fantastic - they are thoughtful, resourceful and experienced.   It is also wonderful to have a single point of care for so many services that our mother needs at this point in her life.  Jen helps keep our family functioning and our mother well-cared for.   We highly recommend Jen and her staff to anyone who needs a little (or a lot) extra support.  

We could not be more pleased with Active At Home. Jen, Brian and their team have been so caring, responsive, and knowledgeable – a very different experience from a “typical” corporate type of home care provider! They began providing basic companion type support for my mother, such as grocery shopping and driving her to appointments, and have recently added physical and occupational therapy as we’ve needed this. Every contact with them is a pleasure, and in addition to their great service we feel good about supporting a locally based small business with owners who are invested in our community. We would give them MORE than five stars if that were possible! 

  Senior Care at it's best.  Her company installed safety rails in my shower and other areas.  Beyond the Physical Therapy Jen diagnosed why I suffered several severe falls and worked my physician to develop a treatment plan that prevented any further catastrophic falls.  I now feal confident that I have regained my strength but most of all I am not living with the threat of my head contacting concrete and perhaps permanent disability. 

Jen is clinically astute far beyond Physical Therapy and I will always be grateful for her medical care.

 Active at Home was a godsend as we worked through the right level of care for our father who'd recently been widowed. First, they were very responsive when we contacted them and were able to start services right away. Second, we were able to rely on their expertise as to what services were needed. Third, their companion care was outstanding - they were able to build trust and a social bond with our father very quickly. Active at Home was really flexible in meeting our scheduling needs (which we much appreciated because we know it created some challenges!) Fourth, and most importantly, starting with in home companion care helped us both see the value he'd get in assisted living community and bridged us until we could find a room.
